Some people think it’s difficult to do waste sorting. They don’t know how to do it. Some even think it’s not necessary. While other people think we should learn to do waste sorting from an early age. Parents should set good examples for kids. So long as we keep on waste sorting ,we can greatly improve the environment.
In my opinion, waste sorting is vey helpful. Old books, plastic bottles and many other things could be recycled to save energy. If people in some western countries can do it well ,why can’t we?

The most important change I would make is to substitute "sort waste" for "do waste sorting", and in the last sentence of the first paragraph say "As long as we sort waste, ...".

I would remove the word "while" from the fourth sentence. "While" works with more complex sentences when used to start a clause, as it would if there were a comma rather than a period before it. However, the intent seems to be a style with short, simple sentences, so I would remove it.

In the same way, I would start the second paragraph, "In my opinion, sorting waste helps us recycle." This makes the connection between sorting waste and recycling that you write about in the next sentence.

Those changes should keep the same style while clarifying the writing.
