45/31 w/24% undecided. If Cummings is included, he leads 40/28/19.

Anyone know the relationship between Edwards and Cummings? Would she drop out and endorse him?

I've read that she's had a pretty cold relationship with the CBC as a result of her successful primary of Albert Wynn in 2008. She's viewed more as the Netroots candidate, so I doubt she would drop out if Cummings joined.

This poll is interesting because its the first to give Van Hollen a lead, but I imagine its still very fluid. That being said, Cummings would be a huge favorite if he entered the race as he would have about half of the state to himself.

Personally I'm supporting Edwards, even though I live in Van Hollen's district. All three would make great Senators.

The actual difference politically between Van Hollen and Edwards seems very small.

It's a pretty classic establishment (van Hollen) vs. grassroots (Edwards) battle. Except these are the Democrats and the establishment is in very firm control.

Edwards just can't compete financially, she will end getting outspent 5-1 when all is said and done.
