Look, the polls were perfect when they showed Trump riding high. When erosion happened, it was because the pollsters really hated Trump, and after their polls showing Trump ahead came out, the command was given to post phony polls to take Trump down. The polls showing him ahead came out, before the high command had had a chance to vet them, and so yes, it is a bit messy, but that is what happens in organizations. There are sometimes communication problems. Any other questions? All polls showing Trump behind from here on out are per se false.
The problem is that there is a huge disparity between the internet polls and the live polls that are being conducted.
And it could go in his direction, to be fair - a "shy Trumpy" effect.
