Friends, as early as it is I'd like to request permission for an endorsement for Governor of the Northeast. I understand the ideological difference between us, but I believe in these times we must reach across the aisle

First off, I would like to start by, again, wishing Blair good luck on the governor's race.

While we may not agree on every single issue, I am a committed Unionist, and I support the same ideals of freedom and democracy that Civic Renewal does.

For these reasons, I would like to request Civic Renewal's endorsement for Northeast Governor.

I'm flattered that this party has chosen to copy my patented color-coded convention order of business template.

I would also be flattered if the convention in question made the true and sensible decision of passing over the ticket with one of its member on it and instead endorsed the experienced, proven ticket of Griffin and Duke! Therefore, I must ask for this party's endorsement.

You will excuse me, I hope, if I am out of breath, this is the fourth party convention that I have visited today! Grin

I am well acquainted with many of you and have had the pleasure of working with you in one way or another throughout my time here. What I have to say is very appropriate given the name of your party. Atlasia is in desperate need of a civic renewal through its democratic processes before our institutions wither away. As a Senator for the Mideast, I will be able to ensure that the Senate remains productive and active while the ConCon hopefully produces a working reform to the game.

But we cannot pin every one of our hopes on a process that may take several months. In the meantime we must ensure a highly active a productive federal government. I would be honored to have your support.

All of you know why you vote the way you do, but I'm bitterly disappointed in a large sector of the party and I feel no compunction in saying so.

Some of you abandoned our nominee and endorsed ticket in their hour of indeed, for no discernible reason I can't think of given that you still voted for CR in the Senate. Neither Cris nor Homelycooking deserved that sort of desertion, so I find it sad to see our party acting the way it did.

A party's unity is only as strong as the community that builds at its core. The Federalists lost its core group in 2014 and many operated on an every man for himself attitude. This environment is partially what motivated you, Cris, Lumine and others to leave and form a new party. Ironically, the CRs seem to have wound up in the same place we were, though for different reasons, whilst we slowly built out from myself, PiT and JoMCar to a more inclusive and involved group of people including our newer officeholders and others.

Get yourself an IRC channel and bring all of your people into it as often as possible.

I know that Lumine - the guy who left both the Federalists and TPP on separate occasions after being elected to office by those parties - isn't complaining about party unity?

I, for one, am grateful that multiple members of this party chose to vote for me, and will fight tirelessly to make their Atlasian experiences better over the long-term.

I prefer evil Yankee these days:

Alucard looks thirsty. Evil

Seriously though, no.

Lumine had some legitimate grievances towards the level of support he received from his own Party. The others were right to question their future in a party such as that, and my record of success in this regard (saving parties) was built on events many where not here to witness (along with the fact that mere referencing of such was twisted by certain folks to paint me as out of touch with younger folks).

At the time, they made a mistake in leaving and I wanted them to stay. However, now that said ship has sailed, I see a good deal of purpose for the CRs in Atlasia and especially with regards to the right. For a party, Atlasia will eat you up and spit you out, unless you can form a sense of unity.
