I'd guess the reason this is so extreme is that when you take the average for each position, it will be on the left for each position, while for each individual the average would be a majority of left-wing positions, but a significant minority of right-wing positions.

Young people who've never worked a day in their lives. The economic score will swing in the other direction when the see federal grift for the first time. If they have any relation to the tax industry, they will see how ludicrously arbitrary our tax system really is.

The average Atlas Democrat is (-4.06, -4.5), though this includes many inactive/former members who skew more conservative than those still here, I would presume.


Also, nerd time.  The average atlas poster is closer to (-1,-3) [Economic then Social] if you include all quiz-takers who linked their results to their account.
