Isn't Obama generally considered a great speaker? And he constantly says "uh..." in his interviews and speeches. Although he was a lot better when he was running in 08'. Maybe he just got lazier over the years.

He constantly says "uh" in interviews, but NOT in his (scripted) speeches. He might slip in a rare "uh" in speeches, but the difference is huge. This is one of the many reasons why he is seen as a great speaker, but only a competent debater (not a great one).

Obama's definitely not a great extemporaneous speaker.  In 2007 he was famous for his glorious speeches (particularly his 2004 Keynote address, which he practiced for three months) but once he got in the debates and had to speak of the cuff his momentum and support shattered.
