Morning Consult national poll, conducted Oct. 2-5:

http://morningconsult.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/151001_crosstabs_MC_v1_JW-2.pdf

The poll is of registered voters in the US.  Here’s the favorability / unfavorability of the following foreign countries:

Canada 77/7% for +70%
UK 71/11% for +60%
Switzerland 68/11% for +57%
Germany 60/21% for +39%
France 57/24% for +33%
Israel 51/29% for +22%
European Union 45/28% for +17%
China 22/60% for -38%
Russia 18/64% for -46%

For most countries, there’s general agreement between the parties, but looks like Israel is an exception.  Big partisan gap there:

Dems 41/39%
Indies 43/30%
GOP 68/19%

There are generational gaps on other countries though:

It's sort of a weird question to ask whether someone has a favorable or unfavorable opinion of a whole country, rather than asking about its leadership or its actions on the world stage. I can't imagine anyone having an unfavorable view of a country in and of itself.

Well one could be opposed to Israel's existence as a state. Other than that, yes it's an oddly phrased question.

Why are Democrats less favorable of foreign countries than Republicans?
