In your opinion, what do you think is the best deal the US can get with China on Climate Change? Fine if the deal would take a good bit of convincing.

Some sort of harmonised cap and trade scheme, and get China to lobby for other countries to get added to the scheme (the other BRICS, the industrialising countries of SE Asia etc.)

A definitive date for no more coal plants without carbon capture (happening sooner rather than later - coal growth is stagnant in China, as municipalities have massively overspent on plants) and agree to limit credits for developing new ones.

Synchronisation of emissions standards for vehicles.

Ask China to make a net contribution to the UN's Climate Finance Fund.
