I don't support locking people up for engaging in cockfighting, no. It's a terrible practice, but there are literally a million other things that are far worse that result in people getting slapped on the wrist with a few thousand dollars in fines (like, say, polluting a river or knowingly robbing your employees) going on, and you want to focus on a few guys betting money on chickens tearing each other up? Lol

The question doesn't ask whether people should be locked up.  Do you support any laws against cockfighting, even they only impose fines?

I mean, ideally, yes, I think it's cruel and awful. But I don't trust the state (as it exists right now) to mete out justice, so not really.

No (R), because the fact that I find cockfighting morally despicable doesn't mean that I think other people shouldn't have the right to do what they want with their animals. However, I would definitely support private campaigns and boycotts against people who engage in this barbaric practice.

Yes, it's barbaric but not a whole lot more so than how chickens are treated by factory farms such as Tyson Foods. Tyson Foods should be outlawed as well.

Yes (normal), the chickens are grotesquely treated in such events. Although (and this isn't to defend such a noxious sport it's interesting to note that less, ah, working class bloodsports carried on being legal far longer after cockfighting was banned.
