Indeed. The Entente were clearly the "good guys", comparatively speaking. But beyond that, his vision of what the ensuing peace should consist of, as envisioned in the 14 points, was the correct one, and the League of Nations, while flawed in its design, was a huge step forward in the way to conduct diplomacy.
