March and April numbers were also revised up by 32,000.

Solid jobs report all around except for continued contraction in the energy industry and tepid wage gains. I guess our FF economics 101 students predicting an OBAMA RECESSION will have to move back their prediction dates.

This also likely means that Yellen is going to stay the course on raising interest rates later this year, especially if job reports between now and then are as strong as this.

US GDP is growing 2.5-3% this year, so the new job numbers are in line with it ...

I wonder if Republicans in Congress will try something zany to break the economy before it gets so strong that they have no chance in 2016.

This. The unemployment rate is nothing to celebrate as it actually increased slightly from April and the real unemployment (underemployment) rate is still at a disappointing 10.8%.

This is bear minimum performance to rehab labor force participation and the metrics Wulfric listed, but the US economy hit its marks so full credit. Do this for another 10 years, and we might be alright.

Unemployment rate at 5.3% but overall labor force participation rate crashed to 62.6% which is lowest since 1977.  The participation rate for ages 25 to 34 also fell back to 81.1% which is really back to early 2013 levels.  The participation rate for ages 35 to 44 fell to 81.8% which is pretty close record bottom of mid 2014.
