That was at the suggestion of certain other Mods again. Nym was not the point person on the solar storm matter. In fact, in general, Nym follows the consensus of the Mods, although on that one, it was more two or three Mods that were involved, again including myself. Demonizing Nym is really a red herring here in general. He is anything but high handed. He tries to handle things in a collegial manner. But the atlas board is his to moderate in particular, as a mere mod as it were rather than as moderator in chief  administrator, just as other mods moderate their boards, exercising their own best judgment. And sure, sometimes we make mistakes, or deal with close cases. In close cases, sometimes I ask for advice, and indeed forum feedback, if it is a policy issue.

There's no concern for objective criteria with things like this; it's just vindictiveness by whoever has the power to issue demerits or whatever.

Regarding Solarstorm, I was merely stating forum policy, as well as attempting to counsel him as a fellow human being. I was not offering any opinion regarding the validity of any specific posts/accusations.

How is it trolling to mention the existence of an alternative political forum with relatively lax moderation? Seemed to be pretty on-topic considering that the thread was about one of the more controversial Atlas Forum moderators and the increasingly draconian moderation of the forum in general.

But those infraction points/the deletion of my post are kind of helping me to prove my point anyway so I guess I should really thank you for your actions here. Thanks!
