Lets not forget his secret weapon - his mother

Two consecutive presidents with an O in front of their last names.  Imagine that.
But seriously, I don't think O'Malley should get the nomination. He's someone I admire but not someone who is strong enough a candidate.  Though his gubernatorial tenure was good, but the Maryland voters thought otherwise and elected Larry Hogan.  It doesn't matter that he's a good governor and good person; what matters most is what the public will likely think.  In sum, he's not as good a candidate as Hillary.  And at the end of day, Democrats need to win.  In a potential Clinton administration, though, he deserves a cabinet post of some sort - it'd beef up his resume, and make him a better candidate if he ever decides to run for federal office.

This is a really dumb argument that needs to be Old Yeller'd. Anthony Brown being a useless dumbass candidate has nothing to do with O'Malley. Bill Clinton was succeeded by a Rethuglican. Obama's seat was succeeded by Mark Kirk. Ted Kennedy was succeeded by a Republican too.

You know, Larry Hogan winning was half the fault of Brown, who put up a terrible campaign.  But the other half was the fact that Maryland's Democratic leaders din't seize the initiative, and that includes O'Malley.  They should have looked to Minnesota and followed more closely what Governor Dayton did.  I'd admit I put too much fault for Hogan winning on O'Malley, but the crux of my statement stands.

Well, you can tell by my sig that I'm an O'Malley fan, but I have to agree with TimTurner, I'm not sure how strong of a candidate he is for president. That doesn't necessarily mean he'd flop as a candidate, he's just never been tested on a national scale. Hillary Clinton is the Democratic Party's best chance at retaining the White House in 2016.

I bet she secretly supports Hillary. Just look how enthusiastic she was for a female senator.

At least Hillary better hope that's the case. Clearly nobody can match the political power or influence of Martin O'Malley's mother. If she truly is on his side, we might as well just coronate him now.

C'mon guys, there are 26 letters in the alphabet. If O'Malley wins and is re-elected, we'll have had only B's and O's as president for 29 out of 37 years. Surely America can find someone not a B or an O!

Awesome 2016 pick. He came off as very presidential when speaking to the Kansas Democratic Party. Heck, he was dissing 2016 GOP candidates.

Isn't that what Hilary said in 2008?
