What is your opinion of the blue-collar, conservative-leaning neighborhood in South Brooklyn?

The 2nd greatest place in any city in America. Gravesend gets a slight edge for being more centralized (Carroll Gardens is a bit further but mostly everything is closer.)

What is your opinion of the blue-collar, conservative-leaning neighborhood in South Brooklyn?

It voted around 59% for Obama in 2008.

Did it vote for Obama in 2012 as well? It's still conservative leaning, the state senator that represents that area is a Republican and may run for mayor in 2017.

Bay Ridge, Brooklyn is a beautiful place to raise a family. A classic city feel.

Bay Ridge is neither blue collar nor conservative.  It's middle class and pretty diverse, mix of Irish, Italian, Arab and Chinese people.  I don't see what's so special to you about it.

The big negative is that the R train takes forever.  Commuting from Bay Ridge to anywhere besides the Financial District would be a hassle.

I worked there for a brief time last year. I loved that on almost every other block there was an Irish pub next to a hookah bar.

It somewhat is slightly conservative. State Sen. Martin Golden (R) has been elected since 2002 and is popular there.
