I know we have a lot of communists here, but come on, maple syrup is delicious.

It's delicious in ice cream and on pancakes and waffles and also with sausage links.

Sugar maples often eventually take over as the climax species, crowding out almost everything else...so they weren't nearly as productive as the open parklands and oak/hickory/chestnut forests that provided tons of carbs and fats...so forests were regularly burned and cleared to keep the sun locing oak and chestnuts to keep growing.  Now its being taken over by maple and beech as it would without human management.

Good poll timing, as it is the season.  Maple syrup is very expensive, but much better than that fake Aunt Jemima crap.

Oops. "It's great" is a much higher accolade from me that "it's very good". I voted accordingly. Pure maple from New England is hard to beat. Freedom syrup.
