Official Office of Representative Blair

Upon my appointment to the Northeast Assembly I'm opening an office to deal with all matters relating to the Assembly. This will be seperate from my campaign thread, where I'll continue to campaign and lay out policy. Here I'll take messages, announcements and statements relating to my work on the Assembly. Feel more than free to send me a PM if you have any recommendations of policy or questions. I'm here to serve.

Today I introduced the Stand with the Kurds Act, which sought to give the Kurdish forces fighting Islamic state the support of the Northeast Assembly. Whilst the initiative remains with the Federal Government in Lyman to provide further support I hope this acts sends out a general message of support.

Announcement from Rep. Blair

Today I proposed an amendment to the Restoration of the Arts act. I hope to introduce an opportunity for our children to go outside and experience their natural surroundings. I hope that this amendment passes through the house, and that we can truly restore the arts to our schools.

I wish to send my sincerest regards to the family and friends of the 3 Muslim students that were murdered in North Carolina. In times like this we realize the value of human life, and the value of true compassion for all Atlasians no matter what faith they follow. This is a time for national mourning.

Official release from Representative Blair

Apologies for the late release of this message. I just wanted to talk about my first two votes in the Assembly. Firstly I voted in favour of the Northeast Public intoxication Act amendment which decriminalized being drunk in public. I felt that this act was both fair and firm as it helped to reduce the time police officers spend arresting people who've had a bit to drink, but the bill also ensured that violent behavior that results from this is still illegal.

Secondly I voted for the Responsible Drinking and Driving Act which ensured that new car owners were provided with a key-chain  breathalyzer. I voted in favour of this, as I'm sure that it will help not only reduce drink driving but also promote responsibility in drivers

It's with great concern that I've heard that mailbombs have been sent to several prominent senators and elected officals in Atlasia. Whilst we should be glad that they're still safe and alive we should not back down from this terrorist threat. It appears to be the work of a far right group, and I hope that the justice department will use the full power of the law against these groups. During this times of crisis we need both strong leadership, and a level head. I'll be doing all I can to ensure that the Northeast is as well protected as we can be, whilst maintaining our fundamental liberties and freedom

'This morning I'm pleased to announce that I've been elected as Speaker of the Northeast Assembly. I'd like to thank departing speaker Matt for all his good work, and hope he'll be able to return. As Speaker my goal is to help and serve the Assembly members of the Northeast to ensure that we can have regular, and rigorous debate. I hope that we can use the Assembly to truly progress the cause of liberty and progress regardless of political party.

I'd like to add that due to recent terrorist activity, all and any bills relating to terrorism and/or security will be given preference in the Assembly.''

I'm proud to announce the unveiling of my new flagship policy, a policy that will give our highly skilled young people a chance to get involved in public service, and to take a claim back on there community. The Northeast already has several schemes to encourage graduates to move to developing urban areas, and I hope this policy helps to go even further. The inspiration for this act comes from a legendary champion for public service, dedication and sacrifice-John F. Kennedy.
