When I was really young, I thought bronze medals were "broads" medals.  Also, I pronounced the "TH" sound as "F" (I would say "fank you").

I still do, because I read a lot of things that I don't talk to anybody about.  last year I pronounced "epistle" as e-pistol (instead of epissle).

I pronounced 'absolutely' as abostally.  I read a lot, but didn't know the word.

I often said "adult" as "aduld" (it's more used in French, since it's the word for a major person). I still do sometimes, even now.

"Epitome" comes to mind. I pronounced it "ep - e - tome."  "Horrific" way, way back when, I pronounced horrific "horr- eee - fic," as to which my Dad slapped me down hard to get that one out of my system! Smiley

School. I could not get the sch part out and would always say "cool". I had a principal who would ask me to say "School is cool" and then laugh when I'd say "Cool is cool".

Also, anything with a TH came out an S - it still does, actually.

Definitely plenty of words, but I say mike-er-wave instead of microwave. That might just be a Philly thing, though. That's the only one that stands out.

I met a Hispanic guy named Jesus (hay-soos) and thought his name was literally Jesus (Jee-zus). Does that count?

Not exactly a mispronunciation but I used to think that the spelling of "laughter" was a different word than "laaf-tehr" (which I thought was spelled as lafter) pronounced as "law-tehr."

I also used to pronounce epitome as "eh-pih-tohm."

Almost every non-hispanic person does this at some point in their life.
