Actually, Sanders IS the 3rd party candidate.  So who would be the Democratic nominee?

I think Sanders would win in a landslide simply because DeLay is such a scumbag while Sanders is able to appeal to voters of a variety of political stripes in Vermont.  Sanders would have much more appeal to rural voters than Kerry and would make normally heavily Republican states competitive.  Like Montana.  And South Dakota.  And Kentucky.  And Wyoming.  Oops, wrong Vermonter.  Smiley
