It's interesting to me how these extremists somehow get more extreme as time passes and the tide goes against them. If the loons ram this garbage through, I really don't think it would hold up in court.

While I think we probably should have a less permissive set of laws concerning abortion than is often the case in the US, this ain't a restriction that should be present.  That the father doesn't want there to be an abortion is not a legitimate reason to prevent it.  Only that the unborn fetus is viewed by society at large as a person is a legitimate reason.

It could create opportunities for blackmail -- pay up or never get consent for an abortion.
