Why would anyone want to ban pig crates? This is beyond ridiculous.
Because the breeding pigs spend 80% of their lives in these crates and they are kept facing forward, unable to spread their limbs. They cannot be placed facing a wall because they will try to ram their heads forward into the wall in order to commit suicide.
Look, it is immoral to try to impose your views of the world on other people. If you don't like the practice, stop eating pork.
