Why? In 2012 Obama leads Romney 55-43 between 50-64 and draw 50-50 between 65 and older.
The Obama leads among 50+ voters was 53-46.

Going beyond, If I replace only the 2012 50+ results with the numbers of this poll (52-48 Ernst without undecided), I have Obama at 50% and Romney at 49% (the 2012 results were Obama 52% Romney 46%). All this with only replace the 50+ results, not all results.
