I'm not saying those people dislike me.  I like to think Eraserhead and BRTD like me as a person (I'd at least want them to).  But people who voted they have no confidence may not agree with Phil (people like Eraserhead who wants me gone because he wants all mods gone).  Plus, compared to the vote dadys ago, there isn't so much overwhelming consensus in that vote of no confidence after all.  At this point, I'm only at a 55.6% non-confidence vote, and for a mod, I'd consider that not to shabby.

Out of interest, does it particularly matter why people don't have confidence in you?

And, is there a level of confidence at which point you would consider it appropriate to resign?

To the first question, yes, because I was contesting that argument that the forum stands with Phil on THIS issue.

To the second, yes, when Dave loses confidence in me.

According to the mods I've talked to he was quietly removed by Dave (who also accepted Al's resignation).

I've been buried in bar prep stuff during the day. Can someone tell me what Inks did to get de-modded?

1. Libertas puts his ban appeal in. Some mods in IRC get wind of it, discuss it on IRC. Most of IRC does not like it.

2. Snowstalker is one of these people. He makes a thread on The Atlas polling people about his unbanning. Somewhere between 2 and 5 Gully makes a thread asking for Inks to be demodded.

3. Inks thinks that a mod "leaked" it, and asked whoever did it to confess to the "leak" in the Mod Cave. Nobody confesses.

4. Inks wants to get logs to see who did it, instead of just going into IRC and chilling there like any other poster on the forum who isn't The Obamanation. Around the same time, he somehow gets wind of Simfan's doctor's IP that somehow traces back to Arkansas.

5. Inks makes the "blackmail PM", threatening to "expose Simfan" (who is apparently posing as a gay Republican from Arkansas, but it isn't JerryArkansas) to the rest of the mods if he doesn't give him logs of IRC. Seeing no way out, Simfan gives them to him. Inks posts them to the Cave.

6. All seems right with the world until Inks also finds Gully saying "Inks needs to be shot". He comes into IRC and threatens to call the authorities on him, even though Inks is not an op on IRC, and Gully is. He also sends Gully a PM addressing him by his last name. He gets called on this too, and said it was a prank to "teach Gully a lesson".

7. Then Simfan tells IRC that he was blackmailed. Everything comes to light, and now we're here.

Dude, if you're not going to get it right, please don't try to explain things.

1. I never asked Simfan for the IRC logs; I didn't even know he had them before he offered to send them to me.

2. I never threatened to call the authorities on Gully.

3. Simfan never told the IRC that he was blackmailed.

Don't attempt to explain things if you don't have a clue what's going on.

1. I gave you an opportunity to explain your side of the story. I thought that maybe explaining your side of it would have worked, but you decided to rant about how the IRC was against you and how it was no use to see your side and how Oakvale, Kemp, and Gully were meanies. I would have loved an explanation later.

2. My personal logs say otherwise. I've made them fully available, just as anyone could have seen them.

3. You know what I mean. Simfan told someone connected to the IRC, he shared this with the ops, and the ops told everyone.

I've been vocally against you during this entire incident, but before this, you and I both know that we didn't have problems. If anything, I went out of my way to cooperate in urgent manners because of your zeal. When you infracted me for saying a bad word in a six-month-old post, instead of flying into an outrage, I calmly PMed you, protested the deathpoint I got because it was so old, and asked if I shouldn't say that anymore, and you were perfectly reasonable with it. Bottom line is, if anyone in IRC, except Simfan, has backed you up, it's me, and you didn't trust me enough to tell everyone your side of the story.

1. I've told the story multiple times.  You simply seem to be ignoring it.  I have literally said multiple times that I never asked Simfan for the IRC logs.  He volunteered them to me after I asked about what happened in IRC.

2. No, I didn't threaten Gully.  I made it clear in my IRC chat that I didn't take his "Inks should be shot" statement seriously, and I expressly said that I didn't take action on that statement.

3. Simfan shared the PMs with BaconKing, and someone leaked it from the Mod Corner to IRC.

Whatever, your ramblings aren't even worth a response. I'll just let the fact that you decided to personally attack me when I explained the IRC's side of the story to Duke. You're lucky your attitude has only ruined your reputation on Atlas.
