I'm right in front of the Dallas Museum of Art and I want to say how grateful I am to see the support I've seen for this campaign. My friends in the Democratic Republican Party, including Northeast Speaker Deus and Northeast Governor Dallasfan, have expressed their support for the principles I have espoused because they work, and I want to say to them thank you, and we are going to keep being a power house in Atlasia!

I've done enough talking of my own. I want to hear concerns from my fellow Atlasians. So for three days, I am going to leave this thread open to answer questions. Go ahead, throw me some stuff, ask me somethings, and I'll answer, because that's what this campaign has been all about: being accountable.

Great to see you running an active campaign, Maxwell!

My question would be, what is your take on foreign policy and do you see yourself introducing legislation for that issue?

Thank you.

Now, to answer your question, my expertise on foreign policy is limited, so i will say that my take on foreign policy is that of a limited foreign policy. Often when we try to put forward policies in the world, we face blowback, and that continual blowback is the reason why foreign affairs have continued to be such an entanglement. I prefer a foreign policy where we back off from the rest of the world. The best things we can do are peaceful negotiation, trade, and if we are attacked, force.

I will probably not be legislating on foreign policy, though I may be legislating a little bit on military policy, particularly on the usage and availability of drone technology. There is a good piece of legislation in the Northeast that discusses this and I wish to bring it forward to the Senate and have a real discussion over drones, since military policy is more clearly under the preview of Federal Government.

What qualifies you to be a Senator?

I have plenty of qualifications, in fact, I was Senator once before, in fact Tongue I was an At-Large Senator, and during my term, I consistently had high approvals and was active. My proposals, including reforming the space program, ending farm subsidies, and changing Senate rules to make expulsion easier, all had strong bipartisan support, even as they made large changes to our system. I have a record of getting things done.

I was Governor of the Midwest, and since my term as Governor, the region has changed entirely for the better. Now we have an active Government with a lower than average unemployment rate.  I did so by engaging the citizens of the Midwest and making them a part of the process. That's what I'd try to do as Senator of the IDS - engage our citizens in a conversation, tell people about the bills I am proposing, and see what they think.

Now I am IDS Legislator, where a majority of the bills discussed are my own, including laws that have privatized the Pentagram, lowered gasoline taxes, and (still in the que) protecting bottle-nosed dolphins.

I am not as experienced as Yankee, but nobody else has near his level of experience, but I can say that I have executive experience and that allows me to have a different perspective I can add to the Senate.

How would you rate the current Senate, and how would you improve activity and discussion in it?

Why are you seeking to defeat a fellow right winger in Yankee? Wouldn't it be better to try to knock off a Labour at-large Senator?

I am aware of my chances in the region. Some people have the race ranked as a toss-up, I don't believe it is. I am challenging Yankee because I want people to pay attention to an IDS race, because this region has been going down in population due to a lack of debate. Plus, I always like regional races more anyway.

I think it's better than when I was in the Senate, but I think its the case of most Senates where not everyone participates heavily, and that's disappointing. If you look at my record in the Senate, I was, for the most part, one of the most active Senators. I would improve activity by PM-ing Senators for important votes to move things along and proposing bills that leave some blanks in it so Senators can debate over what to put in it.
