I still can't believe Wisconsin elected an openly gay senator, and yet they have not overturned their same sex marriage ban.

And they've had employer non-discrimination on the books since the '80s, lol

Republicans have a control on almost all the state government here (captured from the 2010 wave). And basically everybody who voted for Obama in 2012 also voted for Baldwin, so its not much of a surprise.

Unless a court mandates Wisconsin's SSM ban overturned, it logistically cannot be overturned by January. To amend the Wisconsin state constitution requires being passed by consecutive sessions of the state legislature and then pass a referendum. That's a several year long process even if the legislature supported it.
