That was very caustic of Bosworth, but I actually thought it would be a bit funny if it didn't demean people.

She should have argued that the Executive Cabinet departments wrongly value the self-reliance of animals more than that of people, which could have struck a populist chord.

Okay seriously, are there any doctors-turned-politicians who aren't nucking futs?!

I guess the sane ones keep doing the job they spent several years and hundreds of thousands of dollars learning to do.

I don't particularly enjoy being called an animal.

She is rather desperately trying to break out, and in the process illustrating that she clearly has not considered the issue very much.

Or she has and just doesn't care about people.

It's not a sign of desperation.  This is just the sort of unfortunate thing people effortlessly and thoughtlessly repost on facebook all the time.  It does illustrate utter cluelessness.

I seem to recall a GOP congressman putting forward such a comparison a number of years ago back in the pre-facebook era, but with a zoo instead of a national park.

Given the Republican is almost certainly going to win in South Dakota... all this does is hurt the Tea Party and help Rounds.
