If Romney had won in 2012 I'm at a loss for who Democrats would've nominated in 2016. Thoughts?

I don't think it would be Hillary Clinton as I presume she would be less likely to want to challenge an incumbent. I also doubt it would be Biden if Obama were voted out.

So perhaps Cuomo as stated above or Gillibrand, O'Malley, Klobuchar all of the names polling well under Hillary today but still being currently floated today.

I think Gillibrand would be groomed for a run Warner and Klobuchar might also be interested. Running in an open race is far different than running against an incumbent which I don't think Hillay would want to do.
