I might watch it tonight. I'm morbidly curious about how bad it is. It actually has a lower Rotten Tomatoes score than Sam Riami's Spiderman 3.

You should let us know how it compares. I want to see it, but would like to know if its just kind of a waste.

I'm getting bored of comic book movies in all honesty. The most enthusiasm I can muster now is just a Kanyeshrug.

The first one was one of the most boring movies I've ever watched.

The thing is this is obviously just going to be very boring and forgettable. Not even like the Transformers or Twilight movies where the badness has some measurable quantity and is worth analyzing.

Yeah, it was more boring than it was outright terrible for the most part (which is kind of disappointing in a way). The villains in it were all extremely goofy though and the score was really annoying. The movie was also way too long.

Definitely not the worst superhero movie ever but I thought it was significantly worse than the first one in this series and that one was only decent to begin with.

Part of why this series irks me is that it was rebooted far too soon. I get a reboot was kind of needed after everyone hated Spider-Man 3, but that was released in 2007, The Dark Knightt was in 2008 just a year later, and that had it's sequel the same year as this one's reboot. I remember Jon Stewart kind of lampshading this when he had Andrew Garfield on the show joking about how when the original Tobey Macguire movie came out Garfield was actually still out of high school and he was still hosting the same show he does now. And now they already have a third and fourth planned.
