Presidential elections will be held in Syria on 3 June 2014.

It will be the first multi-candidate election in decades since the Ba'ath party came to power in a coup. Syria has the largest refugee population in the world, and voting for refugees in certain foreign countries has already begun.

The Syrian opposition is expected to boycott the election, and the vote will not take place in large parts of Syria under opposition control.

...

Bashar al-Assad is "running" of course and 2 nobodies have been put up against him.

Well, I predict that Assad wins with some 98-99% and turnout will be 90%+

Probably won't be needed, considering that the minorities living under Assad's control mostly support him and the rest have either fled or are boycotting.

Of course it won't be needed. But since when has that ever stopped a dictator?

I think Assad has about the same chance of winning as McConnell does

They had to keep it realistic.
