Is this the same guy who was successful in his effort to bilk hundreds of millions of dollars from the Miami taxpayers. If so, this guy has my vote to win the whole thing.  Snake it 'til you make it.

One of the conditions of their subsidized new stadium was that change their name to Miami.  Of course, if he'd wanted to be ironical, the owner could have named the team the Florida Marlins of Miami.
