I am proud that I never saw Man of Steel and I have precisely no intentions of watching this upcoming film.

It's different but it could work, not sure if Zach Snyder is the director to get the most out of it though. Remember that a lot of people were horrified by Heath Ledger being cast as The Joke initially.

They also announced that Jeremy Irons is going to be Alfred, which is pretty clutch.

Has Jeremy Irons been in anything good in 20 years?

Don't know but he's still Jeremy Irons.

Not a fan of either of the casting announcements. I've pretty much given up on this movie. I was actually okay with them casting Affleck as Batman but almost everything I've heard about this movie since then has worried me.

lol, how does this even come into fruition? Did Jesse Eisenberg's agent see the role of Lex Luthor and think, "hey, i think Jesse is the natural successor to Gene Hackman and Kevin Spacey?" Did Zack Snyder envision Eisenberg in the roll and seek him out?

He'd be alright if they wanted a 20-year-old Lex. I know he's actually 30 but he doesn't look it.

Side note: A chick who used to be in my band once dated him. I hear he's pretty odd (although I guess that isn't too surprising).

So Lex Luthor is going to be younger than Superman and Batman? I don't see how that works.

Someone who can pull off being bald (Bryan Cranston, for instance) would be better. Lex Luthor is supposed to be bald.
