Which legislative circonscriptions would you most want to live in?

Mine would be one of the following:

2ème or 12ème circonscription de Paris

1ère, 2ème or 4ème circonscription du Rhône

1ère or 6ème circonscription des Yvelines

Here's a list where you can look up the circonscriptions/constituencies (you can use the Google Translate function).

https://www.leparisien.fr/elections/legislatives/legislatives-quelle-est-votre-circonscription-electorale-16-05-2017-6953487.php

And here's a search tool where you can look up which conscription a town or street is in.

Whichever La Défense is located in.

Because it reminds me so much of my spiritual homeland of Arlington VA.

6ème circonscription des Hauts-de-Seine.

I go there everyday on my commute to work.

Huh, funnily enough it turns out I was born in that circonscription as well. Well makes sense, I was born fairly close to La Défense.

I'd rather the mountains than the big city, so 1ère circonscription des Hautes-Alpes sounds pleasant. It has the city of Gap, between Grenoble and Nice.

Pyrénées-Atlantiques, 4e is my family's motherland (actually, "great-grandfatherland"), but I like cities, so more likely Pyrénées-Atlantiques, 6e.

Jean Lassalle is the representative for the 4th, right? I know he's a character, but I don't know much about him. What's he like?

This is pretty difficult, but I have decided I am going to go with 1ère circonscription de Vaucluse for Avignon.

I'd go with 2ème circonscription de l'Hérault. Living in Montpellier sounds pretty sweet. Sunshine, arts, and Mediterranean flavor. I think I'd fit right in.

I’m gonna go with something off the wall because I can: New Caledonia’s 1st Constituency (Nouméa).

I might get sick of it after a few months, but I think it would be cool to live in the South Pacific, at least for a bit.

For logistical reasons and what not, the easiest choice for me would be to pick one of the constituencies on the border with Spain. I'd also want to be in a place that isn't a completely rural area in the Pyrinees, so that rules out a lot of places. In fact it limits my options to really only 2 departments: Pyrinees Atlantiques and Pyrinees Orientales.

And while I am sure Perpignan is a lovely city, it's a bit too far from the main population centres on the Spanish side of the border.

So Pyrinees Orientales it is; ideally in Hendaye; the border town right next to Irun; it'd be a trivial commute to Irun (the 2 cities almost function as one) and even San Sebastián/Donostia is well within commuting distance. The Basque Country is not my favourite part of Spain (despite me being partially descended from there) but it will have to suffice in this case.

So the answer in my case is 6ème circonscription des Pyrénées-Atlantiques.

If I had to pick one constituency, it would be the 2ème circonscription du Rhône, where I lived as a kid

The best place to live in my favourite French city!
