Here's the perfect example of very thinly veiled Tea Party racism and pretty blatant all around bigotry: https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?action=profile;u=6521;sa=showPosts

It would help your argument not to link to someone who is an admitted troll.

I don't care for the Tea Party tactics of holding bills/legislation up until they get 100% of what they want but Grayson should either apologize or step down. He went over the line. Just embarrassing.

To be fair Obama wasn't willing to negotiate either. We don't live in a country where the president just gets whatever he wants.

It amazes me that folks decided to vote this guy back in in 2014. What a disgrace.

It amazes me that folks allowed him to be beaten by Taliban Dan Webster in 2010. What a disgrace.

Why?

We're talking about the "Submit to me" guy.

Haha, I remember that! "Submit to me, it's in the Bible." Good times. Wow, looking back, 2010 was not a good way to begin the decade. It sucked.

Yeah, except it wasn't just the President who wants something. The Tea Party is a fraction of the population. Why should they have more influence than everyone else combined?

LOL.  How DARE the president not agree to dismantle pieces of an already existing law a year after comfortably winning an election said law was of the 2 or 3 biggest issues in.

They don't. It's very simple. Neither party could agree on a budget and it led to the government shutting down at the end of its fiscal supply.
No it wasn't about that they couldn't agree on a budget its that the Congressional Republicans who wanted to delay the individual mandate or defund ObamaCare in the continuing CR. Congressional Democrats wanted nothing to do with this on the GOP's demands on ObamaCare. Reid agreed with House Republicans spending number on the CR so budgetary spending numbers were not at all an issue. Still I don't agree with Congressional Democrats US Senate Democrats on not funding parts of the government that House Republicans agreed to since the spending budgetary numbers were not an issue here. The US Senate did pass a bill to pay our military during the shutdown so I will give US Senate Democrats that much.

Jesus. And he was doing so well.

I still think he's an FF based on his politics, but he is such a smug egotistical ass.

The reason for the shutdown was a lack of funding though which is a budgetary issue. I'm probably dwelling on it too much though. As for Obamacare, he makes it sound like the reason Obama won re-election was because of the bill when 60% of our great nation now thinks it's a joke.

Ugh. Grayson follows Anthony Weiner into my "former political heroes who have become gigantic assholes" category.

Comparing Grayson to Weiner is pretty generous. If you were comparing Weiner to Grayson it would be an insult.
