She is currently running unopposed.  I sure hope a Democrat decides to take the bait and challenge her.  It probably wouldn't matter, though, but it would be nice!

Somebody who previously ran as a Libertarian is running for the Democratic nomination. Too lazy to look his name up; Maxwell will be along at some point to provide it.

I'd love to see her unseated, but Wendy Davis has a better chance.

That is correct. Oklahoma's regular perennial Libertarian candidate R. J. Harris is the only person running for the Democratic nomination as of this point. All major Democrats who could do it won't (Former Tulsa Mayor Susan Savage, Former Congressman Dan Boren, and Former Governor Brad Henry), but the Democrats may recruit someone semi-competent from the state Senate. If it's truly this bad, then R.J. Harris will probably do better than Jim Wright (Tom Coburn's 2010 opponent) on the sheer fact that its not 2010.

Gov. Henry cannot run again.  He already served two terms.

Henry has always said he is exempt because he was in office when that rule was enacted. He's probably right, but that doesn't mean he's running.

Yeah, Henry's grandfathered in, the same way that Truman was when the 22nd Amendment was passed; the term limits aren't applicable to either.

As I said in my post, he already said he isn't running.

On the OK term limits thing: Henry, Keating and Walters and even Boren are allowed to seek the governorship if they want to.

What odds do you give Fallin to crack 70 percent in 2014 ?

In 2018, the OK Dems will look at Boren's son, former US Rep. Dan Boren to run for the governorship.

Close to none. Tom Coburn got 70% as a popular Senator in a wave year, Fallin is not popular (but we'll see about a wave year) so its very unlikely she'll get >65%.

Also about the race, a democrat probably doesn't have a chance, unless Dixie fights back like it did in 2006 with many governorships. But I don''t see that happening, Dixie is almost dead.

It hardly seems fair to adopt the Oklahoma state motto as your campaign slogan.
