NRA is pure evil, and anyone who supports them for idealistic reasons is an utter moron and a tool.

Worse than gangs who use guns to kill people? You don't find a culture of death and destruction within families to be more dangerous than a private organization of law abiding gun owners? You probably don't.

Kind of sad it's not an Onion article.

The most shocking thing about this is that Buzzfeed is apparently doing original investigative journalism. WTF, indeed.

What percentage of gun deaths are caused by "gangs"?!  Wow I always wondered who the people were that believed Reagan's welfare queen on the South Side of Chicago bogeyman.

It's rather tame compared to, say, Target stalking women, learning when they are pregnant, and then sending them targeted advertisements. Not that "others are even worse" is a good defense, but let's be clear the NRA is not even close to being the worst offender of this sort of thing.

This would really only apply if pregnant women and Target spent all their time obsessing over farcical and absurd theoretical consequences of somebody maintaining such a list.

It's leaving that aspect of incredibly massive, incredibly hilarious hypocrisy out of the equation, but of course the massively-monstrous-data-collecting-by-private-companies issue is the more dangerous, more important one.

1. The hypocrisy is what makes this thread worthy. It's hardly news that anybody is data mining.
2. Dangerous? Target knows what kind of toilet paper I like. Oh noez!!!!1
