Un-f**king-believable.

Exactly how far will Russia go with this?

I'm certain some there would go this far:

After all, Russia has often looked to Germany for inspiration in the past.

I have the feeling that within the next few years at least one nation (perhaps less so Russia, and more so Africa) will commit acts of genocide against LGBT citizens or those perceived to be. The international response to that will be interesting.

Why do you think that will happen?  I don't think there's ever been anything that could be considered a state act of genocide against homosexuals where there hasn't been a powerful surveillance state carrying out mass killings against others as well.

That's just it.  They'll find other groups to persecute along with the fags.  Then it'll get really nasty.

But who will find these other groups?  What country, what institutional apparatus, what scale?  I don't see anything happening that would qualify.  Just because gays are persecuted in many parts of the world is no reason to expect a genocide aimed at them.
