I am currently registered to vote here in Georgia (in CD 6) for the July primaries and November general.  However, I will have the opportunity to register in Connecticut's CD 3 come this fall.  GA will have the anti-gay marriage amendment question on the ballot, but other than that, I don't know of any pressing races in either state.

Any suggestions as to in which state I should register to vote to have the greatest impact (regardless of your political standpoint)?

Thank you.

If you are pro anti-gay amendment, Connecticut; but if you don't want it to pass, tay in GA-we need more of those people.

Did you get into Yale? If so, congratulations. I bet you'll like the political attitude there a lot better than GA6 !

Anyway, I'd register in Conn. if I were you. Both House seats are uncompetitive, and Kerry and Bush will easily win Conn. and Ga. respectively. And Dodd will easily win and Isakson, Collins, or Cain will likely win the open GA Senate seat. Given all this, at least a vote in CT will help elect a winner.

Thank you.  I think that the political climate there will be much more to my liking :-)

Although it would be nice to back a winner for once, I think all things considered I would rather cast a dissenting vote in GA than go along with the majority in CT.

Thanks for the advice, everybody!

Yeah, you'll get to hang out with open-minded democrats like CTguy in the land where our glorious leader was born and educated.  In any event, I think, based on your whims and thoughtfulness, you'll make a bigger difference in Georgia.  But you'll not be able to follow it as closely.  No need to rush to a decision, in most states you need only two weeks.  Make sure you look into that as well.  Good luck.  And congrats Yalie!
