She'd also be an interesting choice to write/direct the Bushie saga, maybe she could play Susan if based on the earlier events back when it was so interesting.

I'm not sure how you'd adapt it to screenplay as it occurred all in Simfan's head and requires a good deal of Atlasian technical knowledge to understand.

This is why Dunham should direct (because, I mean, come on, obviously), but not write. I voted yes.

Obviously it doesn't need to be a true to life screenplay. She could write as if what played out in Simfan's head was in reality.

Yes, played by a white actor, of course.

No.  But Lena Olin should.  And star as Simfan.

No.  A white actor with tattooes who enjoys sexual relations with overweight girls.

I mean, not that I like Dunham's sensibilities or her penchant for making so much of what she writes hing plotwise and thematically on poor sexual decisions, but the fat jokes really need to stop.

Being overweight/having an unconventional body by Hollywood standards, and then continually flaunting that body in unrealistic dramatic situations, is part of Dunham's act though. Criticism of it is fair. It's like how Chris Rock makes jokes about black people or Larry David about old Jewish men; her commentary on her appearance is an integral part of her dramatic persona.

As to the question of the thread, Lena Dunham should preferably never write or direct anything again because she is horrible.

That's true, but what we're talking about is people on Atlas forum making those jokes about her. That's the equivalent of a bunch of white people making the kind of jokes Chris Brown does, which people would understandably find offensive.

I'm not quite sure those situations are even remotely comparable.

It's not a great comparison, but I was using it because it was the example Lief brought up in his post.

If Simfan is the main character, then 20RP12 should be his arch nemesis. That could be Steven Speilberg's next big hit.

No! He needs to be played by Donald Glover.
