Former Nassau county executive Tom Suozzi seeks to reclaim his old job. As of right now he has primary opposition, whereas Mangano has none...
Given the demographics of Nassau County and both Suozzi and Mangano's prior results who is the favorite?

Without a question Suozzi.  Mangano is pretty unpopular and this is a Democratic leaning county.  Considering the fact that Suozzi lost by under 1,000 votes in a horrible climate for Democrats, Suozzi is probably at least a two to one favorite here.

Suozzi will win by double digits.

Nassau resident here.  Suozzi will be favored.

Right. We really, really hate Mangano here. Not that we really think much of Suozzi either but Mangano has run the county into the ground. It will take a lot for Suozzi to lose.

Guys, your information on Mangano's popularity might be out-of-date. http://www.meetthe112th.com/latest-news/poll-edward-mangano-steve-bellone-approval-ratings-up/

51-29 Favorable. (Admittedly, Siena is a terrible pollster.)

Republican scandals starting in the late 80s and into the 90s killed the local party.  Then as the national party moved to the right, they gradually lost local voters.  We had a string of local politicians who "took the money and ran".
