Perhaps the best sign Hillary isn't actually running.

It would be interesting for a Chicago Democrat to be succeeded by a Chicago Republican.

It might be funny to see him go down in flames in the primaries.

He'll be about as successful as Chris Dodd in the primary.

I'd say it's similar to Cuomo, Gillibrand, and Schweitzer's positions, i.e he's interested, but would drop his bid the moment Hillary says she's running.

I truly admire Rahm's ability to get the job done and absolutely intimidate the daylights out of those who break ranks. However, when he is a leader and not a henchman, his political views are sickening to me and reek of the very worst corporatism that has infiltrated the Democratic Party in recent decades.

People gripe about Andrew Cuomo? I'd be swooning over Cuomo in a heartbeat compared to this guy. In a 2016 match-up between Emanuel and Christie, I'd almost certainly vote for Christie; they'd basically be the same, except Christie would be more entertaining.

? I know fairly little about Rahm, so you'll need to explain.

Emanuel is a union buster whose tactics were endorsed by no other than Paul Ryan.

Although Rahm belongs nowhere near a Democratic primary, the strike could not have come at a worse time. Unions aren't always right.

Obama and Clinton are/were proud union-busters too, so no rub.

you're a horror, sorry.

Excuse me? I'm a what? My father managed a manufacturing plant and my mother was a teacher. I've seen both sides rear their ugly heads, sorry.

Which means that he'd be a perfect fit for the Democratic Party.

Luckily he's too hated to ever win a primary.

Can you imagine how nasty Christie vs. Emmanuel would be?

I'm choosing not to believe these sources. Rahm's scummy and a legitimate bad guy in the dark world of politics, but he isn't stupid. There's no way he's deluded himself into thinking he has a shot nationally.

if you support the privatization of public education -- or are too ADD to realize that's what the CTU strike was about -- you clearly have not answered the significant questions of the day either at all or in the proper way.

No, he'd get eaten alive in the primaries. Actively anti-union, personally abrasive, former Ballet dancer and of course... some 'personal issues' well known in both DC and Chicago
