Everyone's expecting that Obama will name current Chief of Staff Jacob Lew as the replacement for Treasury Secretary, with Tom Donilon then possibly moving to Chief of Staff to replace Lew.

It will be interesting to see how the confirmation hearings go with the debt ceiling mess looming.

If that's the case, I would prefer he name Michele Flournuoy to defense to preserve some gender diversity in the highest positions of his cabinet.

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Would there be any chance of replacing Holder with Napolitano?

Lew has had a quick rise in the admnistration. OMB, Chief of Staff, and now Treasury Secretary.

I guess, but I didn't think Holder was leaving soon. Flournoy to defense would really make more sense.

To clarify, it isn't actually confirmed that Lew will move to Treasury.  But it's what everyone's expecting now, since his is the only name that's being floated anymore.  Matt Yglesias comments on this here:

Assuming Lew goes to Treasury, then Donilon is the name I've heard most frequently as a replacement Chief of Staff.  In which case, Obama would then need to pick someone to replace Donilon as NSA.  Maybe that's where Flournoy would go, since it looks like it'll be Hagel at Defense.

He's wanted to leave for awhile now, and I can't blame him. He's done an amazing job.
