La Dispute, followed closely by Pianos Become The Teeth.

What's interesting about La Dispute is that their lyrics read almost exactly like Tweed posts yet I don't think even think Tweed listens to them.

This guy at a show once told me how when he went to high school in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 2004 he was in a terrible ska band and once went to a battle of the bands in Grand Rapids, but managed to get lots of kids from his high school to go as well and vote for them. As a result, THEY BEAT LA DISPUTE. He will always have that. That's like beating Michael Phelps in a high school swim meet. It doesn't mean anything today, but the simple fact you can claim to it is worth it alone.

I don't see Tweed writing something like "King Park" though, which is one of their best (musically and lyrically.)

Love that one. A friend of mine showed me them, with King Park being the second or third song she recommended. I cried.

What's silly is if you look up any YouTube video of it there'll be tons of comments like "Oh this reminds me so much of the shooting in Newtown!" even though it's about gang violence. Of course I can still see the actual correlation in reminder.

That's not my favorite song off Wildlife though, that'd be "St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Blues", which is kind of Tweed-esque, especially the second half:

Never heard of 'The Wave'.  I remember New Wave.
