No one will care about Iraq in 2016. At all.

Gingrich has said a lot of nutty things but even he isnt blind to the obvious here. Although I am suprised he said it so publically, I guess at this point he has nothing to lose as he proably is finally done with elective office.

To me it looks like Gingrich is shrewdly lowering expectations for his party and trying to set Hillary up for an epic fall.  But I am an old Newt hater who remembers the battles of the 1990s.  I do think Gingrich's attitude towards Clinton has changed.  In the 90s he viewed her with pure contempt and derision.  Over time he has come to see her as a worthy adversary.

And the Democratic view of him has changed in precisely the opposite manner. Of course, Newt was once a force to be reckoned with. Even by Republican standards, Newtie is a now a crude joke.

Am I the only one that finds sad that Gingrich (and most politicians anyway) only seem to make sense or display actual common sense when there are no elections near?
