Biden did the same thing in October 2008, when Obama won the state by 10 points. The guy just likes Scranton.

Also every polling firm (including the right-wing ones) agree that Obama will Pennsylvania easily so I'm not sure why the dig at PPP.

This is the most important point. If PA were at all in reach, Romney would be rushing to blanket the airwaves and campaign there before Obama had a chance to set up shop.

Yeah. He's the only president from Lancaster (and therefore, the only one from Pennsylvania unless you count Ike)

Bob Casey has been underperforming due to his lackluster campaign (to put it mildly); my guess is that any appearance by national Dems at this point is more to shore up Casey than anything else.
