It seems just about everyone has a tax plan, so could we please get them all together and compare, rather then voting for them one-by-one, and just propose the one tax plan?

I know Naso has a plan ready to present, and mine will be available shortly.

Can't wait, both to criticize and suggest.  Smiley

Maybe we can get some sort of budget done after all too.

I suggest the Senate call a 1-week session focusing specifically on taxation.

Just the opinion of an old hack who wasted half his term trying to sort out the mess over fiscal matters... don't bother.
Nothing will get done and people can be suprisingly hypocrital when it comes to budgets (seeing all those deficit "hawks" voting against the Budget Ammendent in the public poll was an interesting example of hypocrisy and political oppertunism in action).

You'll just be wasting you're time. Fix the election laws instead.

I will enjoy debating on the specifics of this new tax plan. It is in my opinion that a low flat tax rate between 5%-8% complemented by a GST/NST would be the best tax system that we could achieve. I would like to work with Mr. Hughento on a proposal of this nature since I agree with many of his plans on a GST.
