George W. Bush inherited a strong economy, a budget surplus, and a nation at peace.

Eight years later, he left Obama with a shattered economy, a trillion dollar deficit, and two useless wars.

Obama saved the country from another Great Depression, rebuilt GM, reformed healthcare, reformed Wall Street, doubled the stock market, created 12 straight quarters of GDP growth, created 32 straight months of private sector job growth, got Bin Laden, got Gaddafi, and got us out of Iraq. The unemployment rate is now below 8 percent. 7.8

And now with the automatic spending cuts and the expiration of the Bush tax cuts in 2012, Obama has solved the deficit problem as well. Romney won't specify what his plans are. He says he will make it all clear after the election. I'm pretty sure 47% of Americans won't be in his plan. Why vote for someone like Romney who is hiding  from his plan. This is and should be a clear choice in this election.

Well then good. You're expanding your horizons. And how will voting for Gary Johnson... in a state that's going for Romney... when I wouldn't vote for Romney even if Johnson wasn't on the ballot... guarantee an Obama victory? That doesn't follow. I ensure an Obama victory by voting for Johnson assumes that I would otherwise vote Romney... which isn't true.

And not to mention an avowed opponent of the First Amendment. I presume I don't have to point out the PATRIOT Act extension, Wan? Or the existence of the NDAA? Which the Messiah swore to veto? Smiley

Obama could have let the Wealthy tax cuts expire in 2010, but he chose not to for some reason.

If he had any balls, he would have let them expire then and not wait.

Maybe because he knew that would be a pretty great wedge issue for the 2012 elections?

He agreed to extend the tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans because it was the only way he could prevent a tax hike on middle-class Americans. The tax cuts expire at the end of this yr. He refuses to renew them again for the rich.

He will only do it so the 2016 map isn't semi-pure Republican.  He can't be too far left, which he is already.
