I don't understand, though. Why would they hold it until Obama's already served a full term in office, bringing socialism and destruction in his wake?

Buy low, sell high. Can you imagine how much that tape would fetch this month? Can you imagine how much Romney would have paid for it four years ago?

It probably does not exist, but nothing would surprise me. I mean, neither Romney nor Obama is Arthur Frobisher or anything, but if I were one of them I would have spent whatever it takes to get a hold of that tape if it existed.

Speaking from personal experience, it is fairly easy to fall into those speech patterns when talking with people with those speech patterns.  I don't find it unusual or improper.

Yeah, most everybody code-switches, unless you talk to your families the same way you talk to your colleagues the same way you talk to your friends the same way you talk to strangers...

From a sociolinguistic perspective I think it would be very interesting to know what idiolect Obama uses in private with friends and family, whether it's closer to his public idiolect or closer to this (which isn't nearly as different, by the way, as the code-switching that a lot of other African-Americans engage in).
