Like told as true but completely unverifiable. Here's one I just read:

A band was on tour and ended up playing some relatively small town in the Midwest that rarely got shows but had someone offer to book them while they were booking a tour. When they pull in the town is all dead feeling and no one is out. The show is small at some storefront art space with only about 10 people showing up besides the other bands, they don't see anyone else besides some weird stray dog in the front of the venue, and the artwork is very gruesome and there's even a bucket in one corner with some odd substance labeled "bucket of brains". After the show the guy who booked it gives them the keys to the place and says they can stay the night here, and makes some crack about how he hopes they don't end up like the previous owner who committed suicide in this building.

Well one of the band members is too freaked out by the artwork and "bucket of brains" and suggests that they leave, and mentions one of his cousins lives in the general region but still far (about 200 miles away) and that they should spend the night there instead. So they head out to leave despite being tired, and despite the late hour now the town is full of people walking and a festive atmosphere. Just before leaving they get gas at a 24-hour gas station and go inside to buy some drinks, and mention the place to the woman working and ask if she knows anything about it and what's up with it. She gets very nervous looking and looks toward the other man working who gives a mean glare in return basically saying "don't you dare say anything!" and she just responds she's never been there. They take off and leave and head off to the band member's cousin's place and get there around 4 in the morning. When they get there he calls her and wakes her up, and she agrees to let them in. Once they get in she says that she's quite surprised to see them but also quite relieved. When one asks why she responds "Earlier I just had the terrible nightmare where all of you were murdered in your sleep."
