AND he was in the process of getting out of the military on conscientious objector grounds because he "began to wonder if I was truly meant to go to war as opposed to the peace that islam teaches".  While waiting to be discharged, he was discharging himself to child porn on his computer.  While waiting for the court martial for that, he went AWOL and began plotting his terrorist attack.
