In what states will the respective third party candidates perform best?

(I'm only listing those candidates that have ballot access to more than one state.)

• Jill Stein (Green Party)

• Gary Johnson (Libertarian Party)

• Virgil Goode (Constitution Party)

• Rocky Anderson (Justice Party)

• Tom Hoefling (America's Party)

• Peta Lindsay (Party for Socialism and Liberation)

• Stewart Alexander (Socialist Party USA)

• James Harris (Socialist Workers Party)

• Merlin Miller (American Third Position Party)

For ballot / write-in access look here.

Having a President Merlin would be pretty cool. Too bad about the whole white supremacist thing.

Gary Johnson will perform best in New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, possibly even New Hampshire. Basically, states where his Fiscal conservative, social liberal message is the general approach of the state. Also, Alaska and Montana, two havens for indepedent candidates.

Jill Stein will do well in Massachussets and California.

Virgil Goode pulls Virginia, but also possibly some really anti-immigration Texans and Oklahomans, should he be on the ballot in those states.

Rocky Anderson does well enough in Salt Lake City so that his Utah numbers are fairly solid for a candidate of his stature.

The other guys I don't even know where they would do well if they would do well.

My guess is Stein will do best in Oregon over Mass.  Johnson in New Mexico obviously.

According to Wiki they have access to both Colorado and Ohio.

• Jill Stein (Green Party) - Alaska: look at Dave's maps. AK was Nader's best or second best state in each of the last three elections, and he actually broke 10% in 2000. Plus third parties always do well there

• Gary Johnson (Libertarian Party) - New Mexico

• Virgil Goode (Constitution Party) - Virginia

• Rocky Anderson (Justice Party) - Utah

• Tom Hoefling (America's Party)- Huh

• Peta Lindsay (Party for Socialism and Liberation) - There's really no point in speculating on which of the extremist, minute, petty, squabbling Socialist parties will crack 0.05% in which states. It won't effect the outcome in the slightest

• Stewart Alexander (Socialist Party USA) - see previous

• James Harris (Socialist Workers Party) - see previous

• Merlin Miller (American Third Position Party) - so far he only has ballot access in Colorado and New Jersey, and it will come down to which one has more Nazis

Sorry to get off topic, but how funny would it be for the difference between Obama and Romney's votes in Colorado to be smaller than the amount received by Miller? Republicans couldn't accuse him to be a spoiler for obvious reasons.

Miller will get at most a thousand votes, and I doubt CO will be that close.

Bingo. If Miller has enough supporters to spoil an election, then it's probably time to send in the National Guard.
