that he wouldn't have any skeletons in his closet, on account of being so thoroughly vetted?

You know, I'm almost starting to wonder if Romney's not hiding anything. He hasn't taken a hit in the polls despite the questions about the tax returns, and he's not exactly wrong when he says Obama would make an issue out of anything he released.

Right now, this line of questioning is hurting Obama just as much as it's hurting Romney (if not more, which is surprising--I wouldn't have thought so a few days ago). I'd be curious to see how this unfolds.

On an unrelated note, I've been having literal nightmares about Obama winning re-election throughout the past few months. But last night AND the night before, I finally started having dreams about Romney winning. It must be a sign.

I thought the argument in favor of Romney was that he was going to lose less badly than the alternatives.

I've had dreams that about marching in a parade with flying lambs and a talking frog named Rudolph, doesn't mean it's gonna happen.

I have dreams very rarely (about once a month) and dreams I can even vaguely remember are even less common (maybe 2-3 times a year). I have had (that I remember) only one dream about politics, ever, which has already been disproven. I made a thread about it, here's a quote:

So Romney upsets Bachmann in Iowa by less than a percent, before Paul suddenly blows him out New Hampshire by nine percentage points. South Carolina goes for some kind of Conservative Anti-Romney who my dream referred to as 'Painy'. After that, the race turns into a two-way contest between Romney and 'Painy', with Paul winning a few more occassional states (also apparently upsetting Painy in Texas). The race goes to the convention, where Romney has about 45% of the delegates, Painy around 40%, and Paul about 15%. After a few undecided ballots, Romney and Painy compromise; John McCain is nominated for President and Tim Pawlenty for President, and he goes on to beat Obama/Biden by a 400+ landslide. (Also, Mike Gravel was at the presidential debate for some reason).
